POKHARA

The place of remarkable natural beauty is the center of adventure in Nepal.The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fishtailed summit of Machhapuchhre rising behind creates an ambiance of peace and magic.The most stunning of Pokhara's sights is the spectacular panaroma of the Annapurna range,which forms its backdrop.Among various ranges Annapurna ( 8091 meter ) is the highest among them but Machhapuchhre deminated all others in this neighborhood.

1)PHEWA LAKE

The second largest lake in the country roughly measuring 1.5 by 4km ,is the center of all attractions in Pokhara.Splendid boating with the clear view of needle pointed mountain Machhapuchhre gives the pleasure of heaven.

2)BARAHI TEMPLE

The temple built almost in teh middle of Phewa Lake is the most important monument of Pokhara.

3)SETI GANDAKI

Flowing right through the city this wild river runs completely underground at places.Amazingly at certain pointsthe river appears hardly two meters wide.But its depth is quite beyond imaginations over 20 meters.

4)DAVID'S FALL

This fall is an awesome waterfall lying about 2km south west of Pokhara airport.Legend has it that a trekker (David ) was washed away by the Pardi River and mysteriously disappeared down into an under ground passage beneath the fall.

5)MAHENDRA CAVE

This large limestone cave is one of the nature's wonders in Pokhara

6)BINDBVSBAINI TEMPLE

This temple is the center of religious activity in the old bazzar.It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawan ,another manifestation of Shakti.
